Can the xTool P3 engrave metal?
The standard 80W CO2 laser can mark or engrave certain coated, anodized, painted, or treated metal surfaces depending on the material and application. An optional infrared laser module for expanded metal marking capabilities is also available from xTool.
Does the xTool P3 automatically focus?
Yes. The P3 uses a LiDAR ranging system and motorized AutoLift Base to measure material height and automatically position the workpiece at the proper focal distance.
Does the xTool P3 have a camera?
Yes. The P3 features a multi-camera system that includes a 16MP panoramic camera for viewing and positioning projects across the work area and a close-range camera for precise alignment.
What software does the xTool P3 use?
The P3 operates with the desktop version of xTool Studio. It does not currently support LightBurn or the mobile/iPad versions of xTool Creative Space.
Is the xTool P3 a Class 1 laser?
Yes. When used as a standalone enclosed machine, the xTool P3 is classified as a Class 1 laser product.
When used with the Automatic Conveyor Feeder, however, the system becomes a Class 4 laser and requires the appropriate additional safety precautions.
Does the xTool P3 include fire protection?
The P3 incorporates flame detection, temperature monitoring, and an integrated fire suppression system. The CO2 cylinder used by the suppression system is sold separately.
