I needed a stone paint for a commissioned project that involved painting letters on marble and leaving the painted stone outside as part of a permanent artwork. I did extensive research and testing and settled on this paint since it worked well in a short-term test and was marketed as being excellent for holding its color on stone.
Fast forward 20 months and I receive a series of photos from the client showing complete and total paint failure. The paint has not merely faded, it has completely vanished from multiple letters. In spite of the promise that it has "ink-like consistency which soaks into the pores of the stone" and that "The LaserBits Stone Color Fill is also rated as weather-proof," the paint seems to have adhered to the surface of the stone instead of soaking into the pores. And in spite of extensive surface prep in a professional setting, the paint is now simply coming off entirely. After only 20 months, the lettering now needs to be completely redone. This will involve disassembling and reconstructing a large part of the artwork at a great cost of time and money.

Bottom line: maybe useful for a hobbyist, but absolutely not suitable for anything you actually need to last.
