Pro Tip: Hanging Odd Shaped Pieces with Gyford Edge Grips
Gyford Edge Grips are a sleek, professional mounting solution designed to secure signage, artwork, glass, and decorative panels without drilling through the material itself. Ideal for modern sign display systems, these edge grip sign mount components clamp securely to the edges of your piece, making them perfect for delicate or high-end applications where preserving the surface is essential. Commonly used in offices, retail environments, galleries, and architectural signage, Gyford Edge Grips offer both adjustable and non-adjustable options for a clean, floating appearance. Whether you’re installing acrylic panels, metal signs, or glass displays, they provide a durable, design-forward alternative to traditional mounting methods

Method A: Pre-Marking the Wall
- Begin by marking the edges of your material where the edge grips will be positioned.
- Use the center hole in each edge grip barrel to mark where pilot holes will be drilled into the wall.
- Use a level to ensure all marks are aligned for a straight, even installation.
Mounting the Barrels:
- Wood surfaces: Drill a small pilot hole and secure the barrels using the provided pan head screws.
- Drywall: Drill a ¼" hole, insert the included nylon anchor, then secure the barrels.
- Attach the edge grip inserts to your material.
- Slide the inserts into the mounted barrels.
- Tighten the set screws on each barrel to secure the piece in place.
Method B: Marking with the Insert Points
- Attach the adjustable edge grip inserts to your material.
- Note the small point on the bottom of each insert. This is used for marking hole placement.
- Press the artwork (with inserts attached) firmly against the wall.
- Remove the piece. Each point will leave a small mark indicating where to drill.
- Drill pilot holes at the marked points.
- Install the barrels (using screws or anchors as needed for your surface type).
