What is the difference between UV-DTF and sublimation?
The process of sublimation uses heat and pressure to bond ink to polyester-coated surfaces, creating a smooth, permanent finish. UV-DTF uses UV-cured ink and a film transfer, allowing application to a wider range of surfaces. A sublimation transfer is "in" the material and a UV-DTF transfer sits on top of the surface of the substrate.

This UV-DTF transfer film is ideal for decorating uniquely shaped items, like DTF stickers for cups. It’s also the perfect tool for transferring detailed, fine-line, calligraphy style artwork to your substrate.
Just use firm pressure to transfer your design onto nearly any surface, no laminator required. Another magical feature of this film is the ultra-smooth, glossy finish. The finish of Magic Film AP’s A-film allows for easy release of adhesive and ink to the B-film for a consistently smooth transfer. UV-DTF transfer film is sometimes referred to as UV-DTF sticker paper. Please note, the transfers will not be as flexible as a standard sticker.
Product Info:
- Intended to be used with the Epson V1070 UV Printer.
- Includes 10 sheets of 13" x 17" A film and 10 sheets of 13"x17" B film
- Gives plenty of space for your to cut to your printing needs with plenty of film left over!
- No laminator required
- Not intended for gang sheets. Use only for single-transfer application.
- Note that the A film has the white paper (the clear sticky paper is what you will print on)
- The B film is the clear film with no paper
- Made in America
STORAGE NOTE: When possible, keep Magic Film in its original packaging, stored flat in a cool, dry place. If Magic Film has been removed from its original packaging, the A-film will tend to curl or telescope. The B-film is not affected by this phenomenon. After the protective (paper) release liner A has been removed, it will return to its original lay flat state. You should not see this phenomenon happen to film B. It is also recommended to use finished Magic Film decals within 1-2 weeks after printing.
