Great for laser cutting then sublimating 0 people found this helpful

This maple plywood has an MDF core and a very thick, glossy sublimation coating on both sides. It sublimates extremely well, but is a little hard to work with. I suggest pairing it with Jetcol DHS hard surface sublimation paper because it only needs a 30 second press time. This wood will bow significantly when pressed at ~385F, which requires either a second press after flipping it, or leaving it under heavy weights overnight and hoping it flattens out. Sometimes it doesn't even with that. Pressing it twice risks bubbling or splitting the veneer or coating from over-heating it. That said, when it works, it works well, and is one of the only sublimation coated laser-cuttable wood veneer plywoods available on the market. I hope JPP will keep this stocked, as inventory looks very low.
