- Not good quality1 people found this helpfulI bought these a while back but recently found them again on my blanks shelf. I tried one yesterday and the coating just started peeling off of it instantly after heating. Trash and a little sad that this is the kind of quality I received. I pay more from places like jpplus (instead of straight from china or from super cheap group buys from randos on the internet) for quality control and I didn't get it here. I love their 20 oz sub tumblers though, but I might just stick to those from here in the future.

It is a heavy good quality mug which is the reason for 2 stars but the sublimation coating is horrible. It peeled off when I was taking the heat tape off, which is not very sticky especially when warm. After it cooled the black was not as dark and the image still shown through. If I was this company I would quit selling these or replace with a better quality product.

Three of them had defective coating and chipped off, even though I was very careful. It doesn't hide the image, as stated above, even when I color matched my design to the cup. It does change color nicely.

I will be ordering the black mugs again.
- Beautiful idea but....0 people found this helpfulBeautiful idea unfortunately not well executed by the mug company. I can actually see the writing on it when it is dark. It is not concealed as it is made to believe. Unless of course the writing is supposed to be somewhat visible. The black mug was made with black writing on it and it was still visible. Still pretty neat idea. I just wish it actually hid the design

The description of this mug is misleading. The photos displayed lead one to believe that the image is supposed to be hidden and then appear when hot beverages are poured into the mug. The JPPlus response is "These mugs are not necessarily designed to hide the image as much as change the color." If so, then what's the point of color changing mugs. Any chance you could provide a RGB value so that we can try and blend the image colors with the mug colors?

But if you want the image hidden as much as possible, we would suggest the black mug our our Color Change Mugs with Spoon. - I'd give 5 but...0 people found this helpfulThe black color change are great! They must have improved them since the previous review. The blue and green though are not that great at "hiding" the picture at all. All the text is hidden and that is different colors-just seems to be where there may be more ink or something.
