However, we’re taking every precaution and recommendation based on state and federal guidelines. Anyone who can work from home is working from home. We’re staggering production and warehouse shifts, break times and lunch periods, and canceling meetings so that no more than ten people are in any given area at a time.
If you find yourself a little shorthanded, we can help. We have a full-service fabrication department that can pre-cut blanks to any size, as well as any full production work. We’ll create whatever you need to your specifications, including printing or engraving, then send it back to you to provide to your customers, all at cost-effective pricing. And through June 30, 2020, we will ship fabrication orders weighing less than 70 lbs. for FREE to help you out.
For the safety of our customers and employees, Johnson Plastics Plus has temporarily suspended local pickup of orders. We still offer shipping on all orders placed online or with a Customer Service representative. Most orders placed by 4:00pm local time will ship same day, and you can always take advantage of our low Flat Rate Delivery options, which start as low as $9.00. We will resume offering local pickup at a date to be determined. We appreciate your patience and continued support.
As we have been talking to you, we know the recent weeks have been challenging for many of your businesses with this unprecedented and uncertain environment. All of us at Johnson Plastics Plus want to find ways to help you and your employees get through this. To that end we wanted to highlight a recent provision in the federal government stimulus bill that may apply to you, especially if your business has fewer than 500 employees.
The Paycheck Protection Program just passed by congress as part of the $2 trillion stimulus bill is a program that could be extremely beneficial to the financial health and well-being of your business.
This program provides cash to businesses impacted by COVID-19 related shutdowns, either because of an inability to operate or just an impact to revenue. You can apply for up to 2.5x your monthly payroll.
The way it technically works is the bank gives you an SBA “loan” equal to 2.5x your average monthly payroll from 2019. The “loan”, over the next eight weeks, is to fund expenses towards payroll, lease/rent, utilities, and mortgage interest.
Every penny you spend across those four categories are then forgiven from the loan (with the caveat that at least 75% of your loan has to be used for payroll). The federal government is literally giving you two months of payroll, rent, and utilities to help you get through these difficult times. Any remaining funds from the loan after eight weeks is interest-free when paid back within four months.
